On Memorial Day we went aboard the US Midway - a retired aircraft carrier. We were amazed at some of the info: 3.4 million gallon fuel capacity, 100,000 gallons used daily, 120 gallons per mile (talk about low fuel efficiency), over 4 acre flight deck...and did you know the planes that land on these aircraft carriers can fold up their wings so they fit better? I never knew that. All in all we had a great time and it was such a beautiful day!!
